LAZARUS SATURDAY RETREAT AND WORKDAY
04/21/2024
This coming Saturday, April 27th is the Saturday of Lazarus and the commemoration of Christ's raising him from the Dead. We will have services that morning starting at 8:30am, and then at Noon we will start our annual Parish Workday and Youth Retreat. Any children that would like to participate in the retreat need to have their parents RSVP on the form in the Narthex, or to Christina via text message - the teachers have a bunch of fun activities planned! Today is the last day to RSVP! As for the workday, Matt and Mark have a list of tasks, both inside and outside. You can bring work gloves, any indoor cleaning supplies that you prefer, push brooms for the gravel, etc. The older Altar Boys will help Fr Vasili and Aaron in the Altar.
PALM SUNDAY POTLUCK
04/21/2024
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, the commemoration of Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Fish is especially allowed on this day, and we will have our annual Palm Sunday Fish Potluck for Coffee Hour. Time to empty your freezer of salmon and halibut to make room for all the fish you are going to catch this summer! ;-)

CHRIST IS RISEN TRANSLATIONS
04/21/2024
As we mentioned last year, we are (finally!) going to be using the official Greek Orthodox Archdiocese English translation of the Christ is risen hymn: Christ is risen from the dead, by death trampling down upon Death, and to those in the tombs he has granted life!
Also, the correct English translation of the Christ is risen greeting is "Truly He is risen!". We have parishioners from various Orthodox traditions that are used to other translations, but we will do our best to have unity around our Paschal hymns and greetings. Thank you for adapting to these changes!
