Fellowship Hour
Today's Fellowship Hour is offered by Anestis and Angie Kalampalikis. Σας ευχαριστουμε!
Saturdays of Souls
This Saturday begins the series of three Saturday of Souls Liturgies. The first and third we celebrate in Concord; the second we celebrate in Franklin. Please feel free to bring Kollyva for the memorials. If you have not submitted the names of your deceased loved ones to Father, or if you need to update your list, please give the new list to Father to put on the parish Diptychs.
Mark Your Calendar!
Sunday, February 23--Apokreatiko Luncheon. We will have our traditional lamb shank luncheon on Sunday, February 23, after Liturgy. The tickets are $25 per person. Make sure to get them early, so we know how many dinners to prepare! Tickets are now on sale; see a council member to buy some.
Saturday, May 9--Taverna Night--the Outreach Ministries is teaming up with a group of interested Parishioners to plan a Taverna Night. This is a bigger fundraiser; part of the funds will help the Outreach in their philanthropic activities; the greater part will help the church with its expenses. If anyone would be interested in helping out planning this event, please see Elena Newman or Presbytera Anna.
Interested in a Little Adventure?
We have begun our On Line Book Club. We are "meeting" on Thursdays at 7:30 pm (in the comfort of our own homes), and are reading and discussing Everyday Saints. If you are interested in joining us, please talk to Fr. Constantine.
Ask the Priest
Sometimes we have questions, but cannot seem to find time to ask Father. Now there is opportunity to leave these questions in the "Ask the Priest Box" located in the Church Hall (it's bright green--you can't miss it!). Father will field the questions once a month in the sermon, as well as in the weekly and monthly bulletins. You can sign your name or not, it doesn't matter. No question is unworthy of attention!
This Month's Item Collection
One of the Fall projects of the Mother Maria of Paris Outreach Ministries is to provide convenient “bags of help”, filled with hygiene items and some snacks, for our parishioners to take and to give to the many people we see on street corners or sidewalks asking for help. In order to fill these bags, we are asking for you help in collecting hygiene items, such as regular bars of soap, travel size shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, mouth wash, etc., toothbrushes, dental floss, and other such items, as well as snacks such as granola bars, protein bars, etc. We can also use warm socks. There will be a basket in the Church Hall for your generous donations. Thank you once again from “the least of our brothers and sisters.”
Thank you to everyone who has taken a "bag of help" to hand out to the men and women who are standing out in the cold, asking for some material help. There will be more available soon.
Looking for Good Presents for Children, Godchildren or Grandchildren?
Are you in need of devotional items, like censers, incense, oil lamps, prayer ropes (koumboskinia)? Could you use a small, simple presentation of the life of a Saint in English or in Greek? Check out our new Holy Trinity Store. Please put the money in the basket; we are using the honor method. Make checks payable to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
