Fellowship Hour
Fellowship Hour today is offered by the Tsihlis Family in memory of their grandparents.
If you would like to put on a coffee hour (for example, for a memorial) but you are unable to do so, please talk to Presbytera, and we will help you put together a simple Coffee Hour.
Community Pot Luck in Two Weeks!
Sunday, July 31, will be our Monthly Memorials. Since some of us find hosting Fellowship Hour somewhat daunting, we are re-establishing our monthly Community Pot Luck Fellowship to coincide with our last Sunday of the month Memorials. Everyone is invited to bring a dish, whether savory or sweet; the choice is up to you (that's the nature and fun of a pot luck!). Let's try to get back into the habit of a true fellowship in which everyone brings a little bit to share!
On-Line Book Club Moved
Please note that we will be having the On-Line Book Club meeting on Tuesday, July 19 at 7:30 pm. Pease let Father know if you would like to join in the discussion!
Franklin Liturgy Moved
The monthly Liturgy for Holy Transfiguration Church in Franklin, scheduled for July 16, has been moved to Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 am. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Weekday Liturgies Cancelled
Because of the expected extreme heat, the Liturgies for St. Elias and St. Maris of Paris on Wedneday, July 20, and the Liturgy for St. Mary Magdalene on Friday, July 22, are cancelled.
Outreach Ministries Summer Raffle
Help us help the needy among us by participating in our Summer Raffle. Tickets have been sent in the mail and more are available to buy during Fellowship Hour; 1 ticket for $1; 6 tickets for $5. There are four great Gift Baskets as prizes: Gourmet Basket, Swiss Basket, North Carolina Basket, and Winter Basket. Thank you once again for your generous support; you are helping the needy of our community and our area.
Children's Retreat
We will have a Children's Retreat for children of all ages on Saturday, August 13, from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm. There will be fun activities and projects, a puppet show, making kollyva and a memorial service. Lunch will be provided. Parent help with the little ones will be greatly appreciated! Please let Father or Presbytera know if your children will come.
Greek Classes in the Fall
We are in the process of organizing a fledgling Greek School. There will be classes for children, adult conversation classes, and a class for Biblical Greek. If you are interested for your children or for yourself, please see Father so we can begin to organize classes and times.
August Greek Meal to Go
You are invited to enjoy another Greek Dinner to Go! Pick-up at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 68 North State St., Concord on Sunday, August 21, 2022 (please note the change to the 3rd Sunday!); cut off date for ordering is Wednesday, August 16. Our August offering is Greek Chicken Kabob Salad, Pita and Greek Cookie. The price is $20 per meal (unfortunately, due to the significant increase in costs, we have had to raise the price of our meals). To order either call 603-953-3051 or email: ordermygreekfood@gmail.com or on our website: www.holytrinitynh.org. You can pay on line at the website (by clicking on the link “Contribute to Holy Trinity” and following the prompts), send in the check to the church, or bring the money when you pick up the meal. Thank you for your support. Kali Orexi! Good Appetite!
Please Remember the Poor
For your information, the following items are always needed for the Blessing Bags: black socks, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, dental floss, showergel or soap, kleenex, hand santizer, metal safety blanket, comb, and granola bars. The starred items are especially needed now in order to put more bags together. You are also invited to add a little something, like a Dunkin' gift card or a small monetary donation. Please make sure to stock up on the Blessing Bags, which can be found in the Church Hall, to benefit the poor and homeless whom we often find begging at intersections. May God bless your generosity!
The special needs for July are: body wash/shower gel and sun tan lotion.
On-Line Giving
Your consistent offering of your Stewardship each month will be an enormous help to get us through this summer slump. The easiest and most consistent way to do this is by having your Stewardship given automatically each month. Please go to our website (www.holytrinitynh.org); in the upper right hand corner (of each page!) you will find the link to make your monthly contribution. You can also use this link for other contributions to the parish, such as candles and trays, especially if you prefer not to handle cash. Thank you for your generosity and making sure we are able to serve you throughout the whole year to the glory of God!
