Response to catastrophic fires We are deeply saddened by the tragedy of the catastrophic fires near Athens, Greece and the loss of lives and devastation that has occurred. In addition to the Trisagion service that will be held this Sunday, and the special tray that will be passed next Sunday, our Church, in conjunction with our Festival, will place collection jars at all the cashiers' station throughout the weekend specifically for this. The monies collected throughout the weekend will then be matched by proceeds from the Festival. Please write your checks to St. Basil Ministries and we will send evrything through the proper channels. Please be as generous as possible to help these people who have lost everything.
Festival this week-end!!! The first two days have been a great success and we are wrapping up today and tomorrow with the clean up. Please also consider helping this upcoming week with the Inn Street stand (see sign up link in events of the week.)
Yankee Homecoming Parade! In celebration of our 100th Anniversary, we are marching in the Yankee Homecoming Parade to thank the community for their continued support. The date is Sunday, August 5th. The parade route is 2 miles long. It takes about two hours from start to finish. Typically starts between noon and 12:15pm ending around 2:00 – 2:15pm. Everyone is welcome to march. We will be carrying a banner thanking the community and highlighting our 100th Anniversary, waving greek flags and maybe even have greek music playing!
