Newburyport Recycling Rules
The City has gotten much stricter with what's allowed for curbside recycling. I will post this information in both kitchens, and always be available to answer any questions as the newer rules may cause some confusion. If we do not adhere to city regulations for recycling, we will be fined or worse, and curbside pick up will be discontinued and we will have to pay for its removal. Please be advised that absolutely NO TRASH or food waste can be put in the recycling barrels. This includes disposable paper cups and plates, and the mini creamer cups for coffee. As a quick guide please refer to this short list of unacceptable items and the posted signs. Again, this is per Newburyport City regulations. I sincerely thank everyone for helping to comply. Thank you! Cathy Chadwick.
