2019 Stewardship Pledge Reminder The Stewardship Committee is asking for parishioners to kindly fill out a pledge card for 2019 if not already done so. We cannot process checks or monies without this vital information. This is a very important aspect of being a faithful steward to our Lord and helping our parish successfully proceed through 2019. Also, when leaving a check for stewardship, please note on your checks "stewardship 2019" or "2018", if you have a balance from last year's pledge. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Cathy Chadwick at 978-884-2149, or email me at Junecate52@yahoo.com. All information is kept strictly confidential. We are also looking for people to join our committee, so please consider adding your new energy and thoughts. We truly appreciate everyone's efforts of time, talent, and treasure.
Saint Basil's is experiencing a shortage of volunteers supporting our Monday meals ministry. Please join our dedicated crew regularly or occasionally. Come around 9:00 am and meal service is completed around noon. Phone Cathy Chadwick 978.884.2149 for ways you can assist. Thank you! Our services provide basic necessities to those in need of home-cooked meals, companionship, and visiting our food pantry. We warmly welcome all who come through our doors.

Building and Grounds Update The Committee would like to update all parishioners with current building infrastructure issues. The heating system has required multiple service calls this winter. You may be aware of several incidences when we had no heat in certain areas of the church. These breakdowns appear to be due to the age of our heating systems, with three expensive parts replaced in a matter of a month. It is almost weekly that we need to call for HVAC service, and in fact another call has been made for service next week. We've also have been told that our boiler needs replacing in the near future, and will receive a quote soon. Expenses have been adding up, also with the recent installation of a new steel door in Nicholson Hall for it's much needed replacement. This door needs re-keying and will be done soon, so please don't try to use a key to lock or unlock. Other ongoing issues appear to be roof leaks in several areas of the church and Nicholson Hall. We are currently researching what our options are. Our goal is to keep our Church well maintained and repaired as needed, but want all to know that due to aging systems, it's recently become quite costly. We will keep all apprised and welcome any help, thoughts, concerns, or suggestions.
