SUNDAY OF ORTHODOXY: Each year according to our tradition, we celebrate the restoration of the icons (“Sunday of Orthodoxy”). TODAY at the end of the Divine Liturgy, we will have a procession of the icons. If you have made a reservation to attend church today, please remember to bring your icons to participate in this beautiful tradition!!!
LENTEN VESPERS: This year during Great Lent, we will be celebrating Lenten Vespers on three (3) Sunday evenings at 5pm. The first of these will take place TONIGHT on the eve of Sunday, March 21st, at 5pm, which is the Sunday of Orthodoxy, at our Assumption Church in Pawtucket. The preacher will be Fr. Borislav Kroner from St. Michael's in Woonsocket. Priests and parishioners from the member churches of the Association of Rhode Island Orthodox Clergy will be participating. There will be NO RECEPTION due to pandemic restrictions.
ASSUMPTION GREEK SCHOOL MARCH 25th (GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY) PRESENTATION and DOXOLOGY IN HONOR OF THE HEROES OF THE GREEK REVOLUTION: On Sunday, March 28th, at the end of the Divine Liturgy, we will sing the doxology honoring the heroes, our fallen mothers and fathers, of the Greek Revolution for their faith and heroism in fighting for our homeland during the Greek Revolution. Also, the Greek School students will celebrate Greek Independence Day with a short program in Church at the end of the Divine Liturgy. There will NO RECEPTION due pandemic restrictions. Reservations to attend church on March 28th are required.

ADULT CLASS SEMINAR: Our current Adult Class Seminar, Studies in Greek Civilization, is on Euripides' Masterpiece "Hippolytus". It is a 6-week class which is currently taking place on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm and will continue to and including March 29th.
