NATIONAL LEADERSHIP 100 SUNDAY: TODAY at the end of the Divine Liturgy, a special tray will be passed in support of Leadership 100. The objectives of National Leadership 100 Sunday are to promote the mission of Leadership 100, to support the ministries of our Church, and to encourage those who may consider joining Leadership 100. Leadership 100's vital mission is in support of the National and Metropolis Ministries and institutions of our Church, including Holy Cross School of Theology and Metropolis Youth Camps.
PTO MEETING AND ELECTIONS TODAY: PTO Meeting and PTO Elections are scheduled to take place TODAY October 17th in one of the classrooms immediately following Sunday School classes. All teachers and parents of Greek School and Sunday School students are encouraged to attend and become involved in planning upcoming activities and fundraisers. Please remember . . . if you are a parent who has a child in Greek School or Sunday School or if you are a teacher of Greek School or Sunday School, then you are a PTO member!!!
"OXI" DAY DOXOLOGY AND GREEK SCHOOL PROGRAM: On Sunday, October 31st, we will sing a Doxology of thanks to God for our freedom and in memory of the WWII "OXI" of the Greek government that changed the history of WWII and the world. After the Doxology, there will be a very brief “OXI Day” program by our Greek School students in honor of this event which will take place in Church at the end of the Divine Liturgy. Enjoy as our Greek School students make us all proud!!!
ADULT CLASS SEMINAR: As part of our introduction to Greek civilization, this Fall we will continue our study in Greek tragedy with the reading of Sophocles' classic masterpiece, Oedipus the King. Classes will begin on Monday, October 18th from 7pm to 8:30pm and will continue to a date to be determined in December.
