If you are interested in participating in this class or if you need more information, please call John Lyssikatos at 401-728-4452.
UPCOMING LECTURE: On Tuesday, November 30th, the adult Greek class is sponsoring a lecture with Dr. Stephen Carr on the subject:
“Nature or Nurture; What makes us who we are?
A Selective History of Genetics from Pythagoras to Epigenetics”
The presentation will be a selective history of genetics and how the concept of inherited features has evolved over the ages, beginning with Pythagoras and ending with the contemporary idea of epigenetics. It isn’t Nature OR Nurture that makes us who we are . . . it’s BOTH! The lecture will be offered in the Community Center of the Assumption at 7pm on Tuesday, November 30th, and it will also be Zoomed. If there is anyone who is unable to attend in person, please contact yiannislyssikatos@gmail.com for Zoom information.
