FOCUS SUMMER SUPPER SANDWICH: FOCUS offers sandwiches each Summer Thursday 4-5pm to those in need at St. John Church Hall in Beaver Falls starting June 27th. YOUTH SAFETY UPDATE: If you believe that you will work with our youth or any youth within the Metropolis or Archdiocese in a leadership or volunteer basis (advising, coaching, teaching, leading, driving, etc) please see Jackie Bennis to register for the 2019-2020 Ecclesiastical year (Sept-Aug). After registering, there will be a training portion and background check screening, as well as continuing our compliance to our Metropolis Youth Safety requirements (fingerprinting, etc). We are required to have our parish compliant by September 1st.

SCHOOL-AGED BACKPACK BLESSING & YIAYIA-PAPOU SUNDAY: The remainder of the backpacks and students from our community will receive a special blessing on Sunday, September 8th, the first day of Sunday School. That Sunday is also Yiayia-Papou Sunday, in which we invite all the grandparents and their grandchildren, along with their families to come to Church all together. It looks like it will be a fantastic day.
GREEK SCHOOL: Greek School will restart in the Fall of 2019, more details are to come. As of right now, we are planning to have two classes: 4-6 year olds & 7-12 year olds. We are also looking for someone to teach a basic adult class. Please contact the office if interested in teaching, volunteering, or being a student.
INTERACTIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING DINNER: All are invited to join us at 5:30pm on Tuesday, August 27th to help shape the future of our parish. We hope to have a constructive evening with positive outcomes. If anyone has any experience with strategic planning, please contact Fr. Anastasios.
COLLEGE BACKPACK BLESSING TODAY: We invite all of our college students on to bring their backpacks so that the backpack and the student can be blessed for the upcoming scholastic year. The blessing will take place following the Divine Liturgy.
