DORMITION FAST: This fasting period is an opportunity for us to reconnect with God through the intercessions of His Mother, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Besides the two week strict fast, it is accompanied with the Paraklesis services that we will be offering at 6:30PM on August 3rd, 5th, 10th, and 12th. In the midst of the fast is the feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord on August 6th, a day for a slight break in fasting, and a day for witnessing to the power of God and all He has done for us. This all culminates with the feast of the Dormition, the falling asleep of the Theotokos. We ask you to join us on this journey and to take the fast seriously as to unite ourselves with the Church and with our Lord.
DELEGATE FOR NATIONAL CLERGY LAITY CONGRESS: Each parish is given the opporutnity to have 4 voting deiegates for the National Clergy Laity Congress. So far we have 3 delegates, meaning we can have 1 more. This year it will be done virtually on September 9th and 10th. If anyone has an interest in representing our parish, please contact Fr. Anastasios today.
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: While we have some, we are looking for volunteers to help run the check-in, especially during the upcoming weekday services happening during the Dormition Fast. A creation of teams may help take the burden off of just a few volunteers. Please contact Fr. Anastasios if you are interested in helping a necessary function during these times.
ONLINE GIVING & STEWARDSHIP: is now OPEN! Online giving can be found by clicking here! Please consider your continued support of our church through becoming one of our online giving families. You can make general contributions and stewardship contributions.
