The Virgin Mary (Panayia) is calling all to join in prayer and receive her blessings during her major Feastdays. Please consider a trip to Panayia Prousiotissa Monastery in Troy to join the Sisters as we honor her who so lovingly intercedes for our well being. The celebration of the Myrrhbearing Women and an Anthonite Litany in honor of the All Holy Theotokos will be Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. Friday the Vigil starts at 5pm and Saturday begins at 8:30am with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and ends with lunch around noon. Come to chant together Christos Anesti and crack Pascha eggs with His Eminence. For more information, contact Elaine Noulis.
Building the Panagia Chapel: Roof Tiles
The Panagia Chapel at the Diakonia Retreat Center is in its final stages. To wrap up the building of the Panagia Chapel, His Eminence has asked that each family give the names of their loved ones, living and deceased to be sealed in the Holy Table during consecration and prayed for during each service held in the Chapel forever. When submitting names, it is requested that each family prayerfully considers a sponsorship of $30 or more, as you are able, to the completion of the Panagia Chapel’s roof. Please Contact the Metropolis Media Contact at communications@atlmetropolis.org or 404-634-9345 ext. 24 for more questions.
Children’s Change for Change
How do we raise kind, caring, charity-minded Orthodox youth? By actively involving them in the process! With Children's Change for Change, even the youngest members of our community can take part in charitable works. Following the conclusion of the service on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH, we ask one family from our AHJ community to hold collection baskets and encourage our parishioners to donate their pocket change in support of Orthodox mission work around the globe. If you're interested in involving your family in this meaningful ministry, contact Leslie Dombalis at ldombalis@gmail.com or Zoe Pusic at zpusic@yahoo.com.
