NAME TAG SUNDAY THIS SUNDAY AUGUST 12TH!
Please join us on this Sunday as we grow not only closer to Christ, but also to one another!
Please grab a name tag at the Welcome Table on Sunday August 12th and get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ! If you have been at Holy Trinity 6 months or less, please stop by the table in the Fellowship Hall marked "Newcomers" to speak with a member of the Parish Council and Welcome Committee.
“…and you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will give.”

HOLY TRINITY CELEBRATING VESPERS IN GREENSBORO
Holy Trinity, led by Fr. Paul, will be traveling to Greensboro on Tuesday August 14th to celebrate Great Vespers for the Great Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos at The Dormition of the Theotokos Church. We will not be holding services that night at Holy Trinity. Great Vespers will start in Greensboro at 7:00pm with a reception following services being hosted by our brothers and sisters in Christ at the Dormition.

WELCOME BACK TO OUR ANGELS!
“We who mystically represent the Cherubim and who sing
the thrice-holy hymn to the life-creating Trinity…”
After a brief summer hiatus we joyfully welcome back our sonorous choir today.
We missed your sweet voices dearly, however, we did not lack for beauty and wonder in your absence because of the love and dedication of our supremely skilled chanters, Kosta Avramides and Rob Shand. Regretfully, we must bid adieu to our young bass, Del Pockat, who will soon be entering the US Navy.
GREEK FESTIVAL REGISTRATION
OPA! We are now ACTIVELY RECRUITING volunteers for the festival! We need over 700 shifts to be filled. This means that we need everyone to take at least TWO shifts. This year, we have changed the shift schedules to be more in line with feedback we’ve received in the past. Shift times are now only three hours and each booth has the same shifts. We hope this will make scheduling for you and your family easier. It will enable you to have some downtime if you need it before or after your shift. HOWEVER! We need your help to take at least TWO shifts. Those of you signing up for THREE or more shifts will get a free sandwich voucher as a thank you (to be picked up during your 3rd shift.) As we get closer to the festival we all start getting antsy that we will not have enough volunteers. PLEASE help us avoid panic and get signed up. You can sign up in a few ways:
1. Log in to https://timecounts.org/greek-festival-raleigh
a. Set up your account
b. Log in and click the OPPORTUNITIES tab then click VOLUNTEER and pick your shifts
2. Find us in the church hall on Sunday and fill out a form. We will sign you up!!
3. Email us at dori.riley@gmail.com or Stacey.armistead@duke.edu and we can get you set up
4. Call! Dori Riley – 919-244-4577
THANK YOU for all of your support for our parish family! We CANNOT do this without your support!
SAVE THE DATES FOR FESTIVAL PASTRY BAKING!
As we prepare for the festival, we will be baking all day on the following dates
(please bring an apron and a hat):
Kourambiethes – August 28 and 29
If we have enough volunteers on the first day of Kourambiethes, we may not need the second day! The exact times for the days we will be making Kourambiethes will be announced as we get closer to the respective dates. Please come help – no experience needed! There are a lot of tasks involved, and we can find a spot for everyone!
