GOYA MEETING THIS SUNDAY!
Hi everyone! We will be having a GOYA meeting this Sunday, October 21st at 1:00. We will be meeting in the sanctuary and then doing multiple stations in groups for a little while. Afterwards, we will be going to Spark Con in downtown Raleigh! We will be eating lunch at Spark Con so there won't be lunch served during the meeting. Parents will need to provide transport for the kids who can’t drive themselves. I hope to see you all at the meeting! Kaeli McEnteer GOYA President

AHEPA AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OCT 26TH-28TH
AHEPA would like to invite the community to come and visit our booth at the International Festival held downtown Raleigh at the Convention Center on the following days, October 26, 27, & 28. This will be our biggest fundraiser for the coming year. We have several events planned for the Church in 2019 that we hope to fund. 25% of our profits will go to support hurricane relief in NC. As an added bonus, one of our youth Greek dancing groups will be performing at 6:30 on Saturday! Come visit us and help AHEPA support our community.
OXI DAY PRESENTATION
The Greek School will present a short program on Sunday, Oct. 28th during the coffee hour to commemorate OXI Day. Ζήτω η Ελλάδα μας!

Please continue to help support those in need by bringing in new socks for adults and children for the month of October. Please drop them off in the fellowship hall by St. John the Merciful table.

BAKE SALE UPDATE
Ladies Philoptochos Society is in full swing preparing for its annual bake sale. Pre Order your assortments, baklava, spanakopita and pastitsio today.
Deadline to order is November 11.
Join us in preparation and fellowship!
Wednesday 10/24 at 10 AM. Assemble pastitsio.
Tuesday 10/30 at 9 AM. Prepare Pasta Flora.
Wednesday 10/31 at 9 AM. Prepare koulouria. Costumes welcome.
As you know, the needs are many. Our focus is on assisting local charities. We need your help so that we can offer our support to these organizations. Together, we can offer a loving hand to our neighbors.
Our next meeting is on October 21st, after the Divine Liturgy. We will have forms available for you to give to the charity of your choice, so that we can begin our research.
On Tuesday, November 13th, we will have a luncheon to celebrate those who are not always able to come to church. Please come at 11 am. Lunch will be provided by Toula Capetanos and Gen Catenis. We will also be baking that day,so we will need many hands!

Come ready to discuss prayer (how we find time for prayer as busy moms, how we can encourage prayer in our children).
