ST. JOHN THE MERCIFUL
THIS SUNDAY St. John the Merciful will be sponsoring the coffee hour to honor our living and reposed Veterans.. We ask that you submit the names of the Orthodox Veterans living and reposed so that we may honor and commemorate them during the Artoklasia and Memorial services following Liturgy. We also invite you to bring photos of our veterans so that they may be displayed during coffee hour.

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat! Community Christmas Cards will go on sale November 18th! Keep your eye out for the table in the fellowship hall during coffee hour!

Our fall General Assembly is Sunday, November 18th after the Divine Liturgy. Please plan to stay for this important meeting. We are excited that Gussy's food truck will be here serving gyros, chicken pita, and more! He will donate 20% of the proceeds to Holy Trinity.

Mark your calendars for the annual Christmas Pageant which will take place Sunday, December 16 following the Liturgy. Rehearsal will take place on Saturday, December 15 at 10am. Our Directors, Anita Brack, Leslie Dombalis, Chelsea Waddelow, and Dori Riley will be recruiting players and singers and rehearsing over the next few weeks
TIS THE SEASON OF THANKSGIVING
Angels, Hope, and Joy with St. John the Merciful would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and contributions. Because of your generosity, we were able to double the number of Thanksgiving Day meals going to families in need. The meals will be delivered to the Families Together organization in time for Thanksgiving Day. “Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.” -Matthew 5:7

PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS
Our members have done the work for you! We will have pans of pastitsio ($40 & $17) and spanakopita ($24) available for sale after the General Assembly meeting on 11/19. This will give you a head start on your Thanksgiving preparations. We will have some fillo packages for sale ($3).
There are many needs in our community and your support is vital to us.
The deadline for Pre-Orders is THIS SUNDAY, Nov. 11. Assortments, baklava, spanakopita, and pastitsio.

Our next meeting is this Sunday November 11th, after the St. John’s Coffee hour starting at 12:30. We will be voting on our budget for 2019.
On Tuesday, November 13th, we will host a luncheon to celebrate those who are not always able to come to church. Please come at 11 am. Lunch will be provided by Toula Capetanos, Gen Catenis, and the Philoptochos Ladies. In addition, we will be baking that day, so we will need many hands to help!
