PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS
We are ecstatic to report that we had an overwhelming response to our annual Sweets for Sweet! Julie Theocles not only made a record number of cakes, but organized, inspired and chaired this event with her awesome saleswomen. Thank you for your participation, whether you made something, bought a treat or helped in any way.
Because of you, we are able to send $2,000 to Hellenic College/Holy Cross.
We are celebrating Joyce Kekas and Roberta Stavredes today for their 50+ years of service to Philoptochos. They have been vital to our organization for many years and we are grateful they are still active members today. Our meeting is today in the Multi-Purpose Room. We will start after a brief break (15 minutes) after the Divine Liturgy.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OUR YOUTH
The Scholarship committee is completing the 2019 application for scholarships for our high school, college and graduate school students. The application will be available by February 26th. Thank you to the faithful families who offer scholarships to the students in our parish. If you would like to offer a scholarship in honor or memory of a loved one, please contact Penny Gallins at pgallins@mindspring.com or 919-673-4300 before February 24.

RECOGNIZING GOOD DEEDS
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” ~Galatians 6-9
We would like to recognize those that are doing good deeds. If you see someone or hear someone doing a good deed, we would like to hear from you. Send just the name to htraleighpreschool@gmail.com. We have a bulletin board in the Sunday School hallway to recognize fellow parishioners who show support and love for others by word or deed. If you have sent any names please resend them to this address: htraleighpreschool@gmail.com
