2020 GREEK FESTIVAL UPDATE
Dear Holy Trinity family, due to current events surrounding the COVID-19 crisis, the festival leadership and the Parish Council has made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Raleigh Greek Festival.
While hard to make, we feel that this decision is in the best interest of both our community, vendors and patrons. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you will continue to volunteer and support us for the next Greek Festival, to be held next September 10th-12th, 2021.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN LITURGY FROM YOUR HOME
The Church Fathers often refer to the home as being the “Little Church”. With that in mind, there are many ways that you can turn your home into a little church.
1) Icons and prayer corners: The Church is adorned with icons like little windows to heaven. Build your prayer corner so that you are worshipping God with the Saints!
2) Sanctity of the space: Too often, our home goes unrecognized for all the shelter, warmth, and growth that it provides us. What if we were to reverence our own home as we would the house of God? After all, YOU are the body of Christ, and if so, then Christ truly lives there too! Treat your home as you would the Church and watch it become a holy space too!
3) Make prayer and worship a prominent activity at home: The Church houses coffee hours, meals, fellowship, and fun; it also houses the regular worship of God. Make your schedule of home life centered on the Liturgical life of Christ and He will rally around your home.
4) Participate through online services: We are online and able to bring the sights and sounds to your home through our website. You can connect with the community in a unified act of giving our time and attention to Holy Trinity! Follow this link for our livestream services, and also subscribe, like and comment on our videos on Youtube!
5) Church is not a spectator sport: You wouldn’t just sit quietly while your favorite college team won a championship would you? Get involved in the actions of worship! Sing, kneel, sit, stand, and pray out loud so that you’re participating in the church in body, mind, and soul.
There are a million ways to participate in the Life of Christ from home, and we hope you’ll continue to join us every Sunday through your prayers, messages, and love of Christ with us!
2020 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Christ has Risen! Truly He has Risen!
We pray all of you are staying safe and well during these difficult times. While our community continues to be unable to gather in our spiritual home for prayer and fellowship, we remain united as a family of faith, always present for one another in love and support, guided by our beacon of hope, Holy Trinity.
We are humbled by your selflessness and generosity in recent weeks leading up to Pascha. We all are carrying the responsibility, and understand the full gravity that despite our temporary closing to the public, Holy Trinity’s expenses, especially in relation to Compensation, Archdiocese and Facilities, will not slow down. Thank you for being such incredible stewards of conviction during this unprecedented journey.
Please use our online giving site (https://abundant.co/holytrinityraleigh/give) or mail your donation and/or pledges to 5000 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27612, to continue your stewardship. We understand this method of giving is new for most members, so we have created a short video showing you how to use the online giving portal. The video instructions are located right under the GIVE Online. button on the main page of Holy Trinity’s website. Click on the Online Giving Instructions button, to be directed to a link and password, to watch the video.
Please also remember that you can conveniently continue to embrace and incorporate our Orthodox holy traditions, by lighting a candle via the church’s main website (http://www.holytrinityraleigh.org/online-giving/light-a-candle). This silent gesture of quiet piety involves the lighting of candles for the well-being of the living, as well as for our departed loved ones.
If you have any questions about donating or stewardship, please contact Angela Georgallis, Stewardship Co-Chair, directly at 919-339-3169 or acgeorgallis@gmail.com. Again, we thank you for your generous support during this challenging time!
THANK YOU FROM THE STARR FAMILY
Christ has risen! Truly He has risen!
Wesley Starr and family would like to express their deep appreciation to all of you that have sent cards, emails, or texts when his mother passed away unexpectedly. During this unprecedented time of isolation and while we are all under the stress of this virus, these condolences have helped to ease our burden knowing that you care. We pray that everyone remains safe and we are looking forward to being together again.
