MEMORY ETERNAL
It has been a difficult week for the very soul of our community as two of our beloved families have suffered the losses of their loved ones.
Long-time faithful steward and former Parish Council President, Nick Dombalis, reposed in the Lord last Saturday, October 17. Nick's parents, our dear Floye and the late John Dombalis, have been fixtures of this holy church for decades and Nick's sister, Mary Helen Winstead (who also served as Parish Council President) and brother Paul Dombalis (our former Psalti), have contributed mightily to our community in a multitude of ways (seen and unseen).
Next, our dear sister in Christ, Mary K. Klemes (91) reposed in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 21. Mary was the beloved wife of Dr. John Klemes and the mother of Elizabeth and Parish Council President, Jim Klemes.
To the Dombalis and Klemes families, we want you to know our very hearts share your pain and we pray that the Lord, who has all authority over the living and the dead, rest their precious souls in the everlasting happiness of heaven.
May their memories be eternal.
SCHEDULE CHANGE!
Please note that we will be canceling the Divine Liturgy for St. Demetrios on Monday, October 26 in lieu of the private viewing and funeral for Mary Klemes.
Memory donation cards will be available at the Candle Table.
40-DAY BLESSING
There will be a 40-day blessing following the Divine Liturgy today. We welcome little Noah Alexander Lewter to the flock for the first time, along with his parents, Brett and Jacqueline.
SPECIAL MINISTRY APPEAL TODAY!
This week His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios has directed our Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos chapters to offer support for the recent flooding in Karditsa, Greece. They seek our parish’s support to help heal the damage that has resulted after a hurricane-like storm swept through the area flooding streets, homes & cutting off power. This is a terrible catastrophe leaving many people with their homes destroyed.
Words from Very Rev. Fr. George Tsahakis, “On behalf of His Eminence, I thank you for your prayers and support.”
Click here to view video of the devastation.
Ushers will provide trays for giving as you leave the service today.
Please make checks out to:

FALL GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Fall General Assembly will be held on
Sunday, November 15th
You will receive a US mailing within the next week that will provide 2020 information for this year’s review in preparation for the General Assembly. The format for this session is still being determined to be either in-person, virtual, or a hybrid of the two.
More information to follow.
2020 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE
We hope everyone is remaining safe, healthy, and hopeful during these difficult days. As we head into the last three months of this year’s campaign, we ask that everyone please continue keeping our spiritual Mother, Holy Trinity, top of mind. We are naturally experiencing a slowdown in financial support given the pandemic, so every donation really has an impact in keeping the Church operating on a daily basis, despite the pause in some of our ministries.
Later this month, we will be distributing a list of all current pledgers to the campaign. If you would like to be included, please immediately contact Angela Georgallis, Stewardship Co-Chair, at 919-339-3169 or acgeorgallis@gmail.com. Please also remember that you must have pledged during this campaign in order to be a voting member at the upcoming virtual General Assembly on Sunday, November 15th.
The easiest way to give is through Abundant Giving, our online giving site (https://abundant.co/holytrinityraleigh/give), or you can also mail your stewardship donations to: 5000 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. The stewardship commitment form can also be downloaded from the church website, at: http://www.holytrinityraleigh.org/assets/files/Stewardship/2020%20Stewardship%20Commitment%20Card%20.pdf.
Thank you!

Thanks to those of you who have already placed your orders for delicious pastries for Christmas!
