Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church

SUNDAY BEFORE THEOPHANY
JANUARY 3, 2021
We invite you to join us this Sunday to celebrate the Divine Liturgy whether in person or virtually.
We also extend a special welcome to all newcomers.
Father Paul will offer a Trisagion following this Sunday’s liturgy for the late David Agosto.
May the Lord rest his soul in the land of the living, in the company of His Saints.
ATTEND LITURGY VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON
Registration is required!
Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 and the decision to practice extreme precaution for everyone, we are ONCE AGAIN limiting the number of attendees at any given service to 30 parishioners. Instructions for registering to attend in person are provided below. For all who do not attend in-person, please join in with us through our live-streamed service at: www.holytrinityraleigh.org.
If you attended the Sunday service last week, please allow other parishioners the opportunity to attend and do not register for two or three consecutive services. However, if there are still openings 30 minutes before registration closes at 9:00 p.m. the evening before the service, then we encourage you to register.
Please arrive early to Sunday service, before 9:45, giving time for check in. When attending the service, please wear a mask at all times, sign in upon entering, allow your temperature to be taken, and maintain proper distance with those attending.
Check in will include answering the COVID-19 questions below.
If you answer “yes” to any of the following COVID-19 questions, we ask that you not sign up for a church service at this time.
- Do you have any of the following symptoms that are new or worsening: cough, congestion, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, fever or feeling feverish, chills, muscle pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea?
- Have you had close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 21 days?
- Have you tested positive in the last 21 days for COVID-19?
Please be mindful of your fellow parishioners by not registering for all services.
If you have any difficulty signing up, please email: htgocrsignup@gmail.com

Stewardship 2021 Kickoff
Father Paul will ask those attending to come forward after liturgy to drop their 2021 stewardship forms in basket and receive a blessing.
2021 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Thank you to those of you who have recently submitted your outstanding pledges. As we head into the final days of the church’s 2020 stewardship campaign, we continue to ask everyone to keep our spiritual Mother, Holy Trinity, at the center of your lives. We will be processing stewardship donations towards this year’s campaign until Sunday, January 3rd. We appreciate you fulfilling your commitment made earlier in the campaign, and are most grateful for your unwavering support and generosity, especially during these uncertain times!
You can pay your pledge online giving via Abundant Giving at: https://abundant.co/holytrinityraleigh/give. You can also mail your stewardship donation(s) to: 5000 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. If you still need to submit your stewardship commitment form, it can be downloaded from the church website at: http://www.holytrinityraleigh.org/assets/files/Stewardship/2020%20Stewardship%20Commitment%20Card%20.pdf.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE: We have pushed back our 2021 Stewardship Campaign launch date to Sunday, January 10th. That said, your 2021 stewardship pledge card and other stewardship materials were mailed to member homes on December 15, as a part of the church bulk Christmas mailing (the Christmas Mailing will have a separate envelope that says 2021 HTGOC Stewardship on it with our materials) – please be on the lookout for it and return it at your earliest convenience. Unfortunately, most parishioners have not yet received this mailing due to the delay by US Postal services.
Sunday, January 10th – 2021 Stewardship Kickoff
Following liturgy, Fr. Paul will be calling up members of the Parish Council and all who have filled out a 2021 stewardship form for a prayer and a blessing.
Thank you all for loving the beauty of God’s Holy House.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your 2020 or 2021 stewardship, please contact Angela Georgallis, Stewardship Co-Chair, at 919-339-3169 or acgeorgallis@gmail.com.
Wishing you and your loved ones a healthy, peaceful, and safe holiday season!
LUMINARIES FROM GOYA
To celebrate the Theophany of our Lord, our GOYA is offering luminaries to commemorate our loved ones, be they still with us or fallen asleep in the Lord. These will be traditional paper bag luminaries, hand-decorated by our GOYANs, to be displayed outside the church on Wednesday, January 6. You can purchase luminaries by visiting https://forms.gle/LM4mfYWFhZmwyS7P7.
The suggested donation is $5 for 1 luminary and $10 for 3. If you are unable to visit the church to see the luminaries in person, we will be posting a short video of the display following the Blessing of the Waters service on January 6. Sale of the luminaries will be open until Sunday, January 3 at 1pm.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to John Dombalis at john.dombalis@gmail.com or 919.649.2527. Thank you!
ANNUAL “SOUPER BOWL OF CARING”

Donations will be accepted throughout the month of January, as well as on February 7th. All donations can be placed on the table outside of the fellowship hall.
