Parish Council Elections
The upcoming Parish council elections will be held on 12/02/2018 at the church, voting will open at 11:00am and close at 1:00pm. There are currently three positions on the council that are open and need to be filled. Voters can vote for up to three candidates when casting their ballots. Per Archdiocese regulations in order to cast a vote you must be member of the church and a steward of the church for at least three months. The candidates that get the most votes will be elected to serve for a two year term on the parish council.
Proxy Voting: The Arch Diocese regulations do not allow for proxy votes to be cast on the part of others; you must be present at church during the polling times on 12/2/2018 in order to cast a vote.
Absentee Voting: Archdiocese regulations and HTGOC bylaws do allow absentee votes to be cast if you are not able to be present the day of the vote. If you are unable to be at church on 12/02/2018 and would like to cast an absentee ballot, please contact Craig Baxter (president of the voting committee, along with Mark Keogh and Admon Abuamsha) at baxter.craig@gmail.com or 907-632-3348 so one can be sent to you. Absentee ballots must be mailed to the church (2800 O’Malley Road Anchorage, AK 99507) and received no later than 12/1/2018. Absentee ballots received after this will not be counted.
