We’re Very Grateful to have once again this year our A Capella Choir sing at our Presanctified Liturgies on Wednesday evening and at services during Holy Week. In addition to singing at the Divine Liturgy on the last Sunday of each month, this choir has regular practices. We’re happy to have new people join us, so if you are interested in joining or just checking it out please contact Margie Victors (margievictors@sbcglobal.net), who organizes and directs this choir.

When you take a book, please write your name and book number on the list provided for our records. Thank you.
Ride Ministry If anyone from the Reno or Carson areas are willing and able to give people rides to/from church, please contact the office.
Are you willing to help in the bookstore on Sunday’s until 12:30p? Or in the Narthex to greet people? If so, please contact the church office.
Keep in Mind that both the Small and Big Halls are available to rent!
Archangel Michael’s Food Barrel is in the Small Hall year-round. Thank you for your donations! Please show your love and compassion for those in our community who are less fortunate.

Fasting During Great Lent: Weekdays (M-F) are observed as Strict Fast Days. On these days we abstain from meat, dairy, fish with backbones, fowl, wine, and olive oil. Weekends are observed as Wine and Oil Days. On these days the fast is relaxed to permit wine and olive oil. See the fasting guidelines as shown on the ecclesiastical calendar or the Voice newsletter. Because diversity exists among fasting disciplines, consult with your parish priest about how to incorporate this discipline into your religious life.
Fasting before Presanctified Liturgy: The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts is served on Wednesday evenings during Lent. It comes in the evening after a day of spiritual preparation and total abstinence. The faithful who are unable to make the effort of total fasting because of weakness or work, however, normally eat a light Lenten meal before noon.
