Sunday School: Children are to go to classes after Holy Communion. Elementary students will meet in the upper room while junior and senior high students will meet in the meeting room. If you would like to teach, please see Fr. Stephen.
Greek School: Our Greek School has resumed. Classes will be on Thursdays at 3:00pm. See Kleo Stavropoulos for information.
Adult Ministry: Come all to a new adult ministry, A Spiritual Enrichment Evening, Wednesdays at 7pm in our church. Join together for one hour of prayer, reflection, Bible study, and discussion led be Fr. Stephen. See the flyer on the handout table.
Choir: We welcome people to join our choir. Practices are Saturdays at 11:00am. See our Director, Steve Hoskins, if you are interested.
Church Music Sunday: Today we honor our church musicians on this National Church Music Sunday. We thank all those who sing and chant in our parish for helping us to lift up our hearts to the Lord. May they continue to be blessed with their talent through the prayers of their patron saint St. Romanos the Melodist.
Youth Sunday: Every first Sunday of the month will be Youth Sunday. Fr. Stephen will offer a sermon to our youth and we will focus on them. Parents with children are encouraged to bring them to church especially on these days for their spiritual growth.
Metropolis Youth Picnic: Youth and families from all our Metropolis New York District parishes are invited to a Columbus Day Picnic at Churchville Park, Churchville, NY. It is an opportunity for us to get together for food, dancing, and outdoor fun. Hosted by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Rochester, please email their secretary at office@agocroc.org if you plan to attend. A flyer is available on the handout table for further information.

Calendar: The October parish calendar is included in the bulletin. Keep one and stay informed of parish services and events.
Card Machine: A credit/debit card machine is available in the narthex for making donations if you don't have cash or prefer a card method. Easy instructions on the screen allow you to conduct your transaction on your own, however you can seek help from a Parish Council member if needed.
Incense: Donations of incense for the altar are welcomed. Monetary donations of $40 - 50 would cover the cost of ordering. Please see Fr. Stephen if you wish to donate.
Philoptochos: Philoptochos welcomes all ladies and gentlemen to our next General meeting , October 2nd, following Coffee Hour in our church hall. We will include discussion of our Philoptochos Christmas Bakesale.
We are looking for a Chairperson or Chairpersons to head our Philoptochos Fundraiser Christmas Bakesale this December.
Our Philoptochos Chapter is a philanthropic society, who donates all its fundraising proceeds to various charities, for the poor and needy of Tompkins County, as well as
National and International relief and victims of war, Medical Children’s Fund and a variety of ministries through our Metropolis of Detroit
Please note that our October meeting dates have changed: Board Meeting on October 16th, General Meeting on October 23rd.
New Fundraising Committee: The parish council would like to announce the formation of a new fundraising committee. This informal group will develop and help implement new fundraising activities for the church. Coffee Hour: All are welcomed to have refreshments and fellowship in the hall following services. Please help by signing up on the board in the hall to host a coffee hour. We thank Philoptochos for organizing our fellowships.
COVID Precautions: We strongly recommend wearing a mask while in the church facilities out of caution for the coronavirus. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the entranceways.
