UPCOMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:
PHILOPTOCHOS MEETING: There will a meeting of the St. Helen Philoptochos Society immediately following church today in the library.
PUTTING ON THE GLITZ: Tickets are now on sale for the 8th annual “Putting on the Glitz” Dinner and Auction, Sunday November 10th! This is our church’s largest annual fundraising event and we need your support! Tickets will be on sale at the coffee hour or contact Pam Avdoulos at avdoulospam@yahoo.com. We are still accepting live and silent auction item donations, which can be dropped off at the church office. Let’s make this event a huge success!
TLC GIVING THANKS: Our next TLC luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 12:00 noon in the Hellenic Cultural Center. All ages are welcome to join us as we give thanks for our blessings and share turkey and all the trimmings! Please RSVP to the church office to reserve your space, no later than Tuesday, November 5th.
VOCAL WORKSHOP: On Saturday, November 9th, at 1:00 pm, we will hold a lively, interactive workshop on voice production. Whether you sing in the Choir, or just in the shower – you are welcome to come and participate! Let Maritsa know if you would like to attend 734.516.8548.
FEED THE NEEDY:All of our parishioners are invited to join the St. Cons Men’s Club to help pack and deliver groceries to local needy families on Saturday, November 23. Volunteer will meet at the Hellenic Cultural Center at 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Volunteers are also needed on Wednesday, November 20th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm to unload food. If you can help at the HCC or to make home deliveries please RSVP to Mark Chuey at markchuey@aol.com
UPCOMING GOYA ACTIVITIES: Our next GOYA activity will be a religious/social activity, "Night with God" at Father Teodor's home on Friday, November 15, at 6 pm. All young people, grades 7 – 12 are invited to join GOYA. Contact Cathy Brylinski at cbrylins@gmail.com if you are interested.
NEWS AND NOTICES:
NO BIBLE STUDY: There will be no Adult Bible Study this week, due to elections. Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, November 12th.
SUNDAY SCHOOL PARENTS: Please drop off a wallet sized photo of your child in the baskets available near the candles or on the table near the office. Please write the child's name on the back of the photo in the center. We will be displaying the photos on our "Sunday School Christmas tree" shortly after Thanksgiving. We will re-use any photos from last year if you do not submit a new one.
