GREEKFEST 2020 IS TODAY! Our one-day indoor Greek Festival will be held today, Sunday February 9th at the Hellenic Cultural Center! Plan to bring your friends and family and join us from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm for authentic Greek food, live Greek music and dance, and lots more!
TLC VALENTINES LUNCHEON RESCHEDULED: Our TLC lunch had to be rescheduled due to weather conditions, and will now be held on Thursday, February 20th. Please RSVP to the church office no later than Tuesday 2/18 if you plan to attend.
GOYA AT ORTHODOX DETROIT OUTREACH – Our GOYA will be volunteering again this year at the Orthodox Detroit Outreach on Sunday, February 16, 2020. The Orthodox Detroit Outreach sponsors a weekly Sunday meal to the needy in Detroit, at Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cathedral Community Center, where our GOYAns will be serving the meal to the needy and cleaning the pots/pans afterward. Our Hellenic Center will prepare the meal for us to take to serve (120 meals). There will be pizza, pop and water for our volunteers at 12:00 pm before carpooling to the facility.
MEN’S CLUB MEETING – There will be a meeting of the Men’s Club on Thursday, February 20th at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at Karl’s Cabin restaurant in Plymouth. For more information, contact Jeff Zeh at 484.868.8736
PISTONS GREEK HERITAGE NIGHT: The Detroit Pistons Greek Heritage night will be held on Thursday, February 20th. A portion of every ticket will support the Metropolis of Detroit Summer Camp. To purchase tickets, please visit: Pistons.com/Greeknight.
GODPARENTS’ SUNDAY: Invite your godparents and godchildren to attend church with you on Sunday, February 23rd to receive Holy Communion together, and then stay for a delicious brunch at the Hellenic Cultural Center!
KOULOUMA/GREAT COMPLINE SERVICE: The first day of Lent is Wednesday, March 2nd. On that day, the Great Compline Service will begin at 10:00 am. Immediately following the service will be our annual Koulouma Lenten luncheon, sponsored by the St. Helen Philoptochos. Cost is $20 per person. ORATORICAL FESTIVAL: Our annual Oratorical Festival will be held immediately following church services on Sunday, March 22. Fliers with details are available in the Narthex and at www.goarch.org/sjcof

ANNUAL HOME BLESSINGS: Father Teodor is still available through the beginning of Lent for home blessings. This is a beautiful and very important tradition of our church; every Orthodox Christian should have their home blessed annually. Please call the office to schedule your home blessing for the new year.
2020 STEWARDSHIP PLEDGE: If you have not done so already, please turn in your 2020 Stewardship Pledge. Pledge cards are available at the Pangari and the church office.
