NEWS AND NOTICES
CONGRATULATIONS GOYAns! We are so proud of our GOYA members who were doing extraordinary things last Sunday! While a group of young people served lunch to Detroit homeless through the Orthodox Detroit Outreach; three of our young GOYAns, Zoe Vlahadamis, Nicole & Irene Petrutiu, were in Dayton OH, killing it on the basketball court. The girl’s team (from Nativity Church) won at the GOYA Basketball tournament!
SATURDAY OF SOULS: This Saturday, February 29, there will be a Divine Liturgy for Saturday of Souls. Please come to church so we can pray together and if you can, bring koliva, prosfora (bread), wine, oil and the names of the deceased you would like remembered in prayer. If you cannot come and would like the name of your departed to be commemorated, fill the enclosed sheet and give it to Father or to one of the Altar helpers.
COLLEGE CONNECTION: Our Moms’ Group will be sending out a care package to our students away or at home in college in mid-March. If you have a young person attending college who has changed their address, or who we may not know about, please contact the church office or Cathy Brylinski at cbrylins@gmail.com with their Name, Address, and College they are attending, so they can receive their gift.
