For those who were not able to attend the Holy Unction service on Friday evening, but wish to be anointed, Father Teodor will offer Holy Unction following Sunday’s Divine Liturgy. Please wait in your pews at the end of the service, as others receive antidoron and exit. The ushers will then guide you to the front.
Saints Constantine and Helen services are open for parishioners and we encourage those who are not in high-risk categories to attend services. Parish guidelines regarding capacity limits and safety restrictions are posted on the home page of our church website, https://www.stcons.org
The church building is professionally cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized weekly.

Prokeimenon. Grave Mode. Psalm 28.11,1.
The Lord will give strength to his people.
Verse: Bring to the Lord, O sons of God, bring to the Lord honor and glory.
The reading is from St. Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians 6:1-10.
Brethren, working together with him, we entreat you not to accept the grace of God in vain. For he says, "At the acceptable time I have listened to you, and helped you on the day of salvation." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. We put no obstacle in any one's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, tumults, labors, watching, hunger; by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love, truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; in honor and dishonor, in ill repute and good repute. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

1st Sunday of Luke
The Reading is from Luke 5:1-11
At that time, as Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, he saw two boats by the lake; but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." And Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish; and as their nets were breaking, they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." For he was astonished, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; henceforth you will be catching men." And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.
1st Sunday of Luke

QUESTIONS FOR FATHER TEODOR: In this unusual year with no regular Sunday School classes, Father Teodor will take a few minutes on Sunday mornings to answer questions from our young people (or adults!) about our faith. Questions can be submitted online using this link: https://forms.gle/7ae8mqd6DNSghbQs6
PARISH COUNCIL CHANGES: There have been some changes to our Parish Council in recent months. We are grateful for the many years of dedicated service to the church and Council from Al Sudia and Strat Calagias, who are stepping down. We are pleased to announce Leah Calagias has been appointed to our Parish Council.
THANK YOU! Thanks to everyone who brought in new and gently used shoes to be donated to "Soles-4-Souls" providing shoes to organizations serving the homeless. In one day, we received more than 250 pairs of shoes! It was the perfect kick-off to our 2020 “Serving God and Serving Others” youth program. Many families will be blessed by your generosity!
SENIOR DISCUSSION SURVEY: Miss Emma and Miss Mandi, who lead our Senior Discussion group of 10th – 12th grade students, want their participants to have a say in what topics are covered, and what community service activities they would like to take on. All responses to these questions will be kept anonymous. High School students, please respond to this quick survey at the following link: https://forms.gle/vrPGktynhbHcnzCg8
VOLUNTEER USHERS NEEDED: With all the extra COVID procedures necessary for the church (taking temps, usher to seats, communion, bulletins, etc.) we need some extra support in the Narthex. We need men and women who are healthy, on the younger side, and able to get to church by 9:30 am. Please contact Annette at the church office, stcons2@gmail.com or 734.525.6789 if you are able to volunteer for a Sunday service.
FEED THE NEEDY: All of our Sunday School families have received contribution folders for the Men’s Club John Koinis “Feed the Needy” program, providing Thanksgiving dinners to low-income family homes in Westland and Livonia. Donation envelopes for Feed the Needy are also available at the Pangari and in the church office. The Men’s Club golf outing, which is the primary fundraiser for the project was cancelled earlier this year, due to COVID 19 restrictions.
ICONOGRAPHY: We have reached 56% of our fundraising goals for our Iconography project! We are so grateful to the parish families that have already made a pledge to sponsor an icon. A list of icons still available for sponsorship is included in this Bulletin. For those who are interested, please talk to Father Teodor or contact the church office for more information.

Please call the church office to schedule memorials in a timely manner so we can include the information in the bulletin. On the day of the service, please bring a list of famnames you would like Father to remember in prayer. We are not currently allowed to have coffee hour, or distribute any cookies, paximadia or koulourakia.
HELLENIC CULTURAL CENTER: The Hellenic Cultural Center is not yet able to hold events, but they are booking events for the year-end, and 2021. If you need to discuss future bookings or other issues with the HCC staff, please contact Kathy at 313.303.6350 or kathysmcmullen@yahoo.com
