A FEW WORDS FROM FATHER
This Sunday is called 'Zacchaeus Sunday' It marks the approach of Great Lent. Come then, let us run ahead like Zacchaeus (i.e., come early to Liturgy) to see the Lord before Lent begins.
The Lord wants us to comfort those who are brokenhearted, and to visit those who are sick, and those in prison. He also wants us to look after the well-being of each other in many ways, because, as He said, "...as you did it to them, you did it to me". Did you know that doing this is what is called 'Ministry'? The Church has many forms of Ministry, not just Liturgical ministry. Perhaps you are already doing this in some way. Would you like to join others of like mind in a Visitation Ministry?
Lastly, this is your Bulletin. We want to make it as effective as possible. Please, give us your feedback and suggestions. You may email Erik Lybeck at: eclybeck@gmail.com, or Fr. at: Parthenios.turner@gmail.com
STEWARDSHIP
Thank you to our Church Members who have made a financial commitment to Stewardship, or are increasing their offering towards fulll Stewardship. (*Stewardship is offering a tithe, or a tenth of our income to the Church.)
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room for it." Malachi 3:10
Policy regarding Confession and visitations...
It has been our long-standing policy and practice that during Confession, House-calls, and Visitations, Father requires that a third adult to be present while still maintaining the appropriate privacy during Confession. It is also our policy that during Confession we are not asked to reveal details of a personal or private nature. If you would simply like to meet with Father for a visit outside of confession, a preffered place would be a local coffee shop :-)
