**NEW**GOYA CAR WASH...Please support our Youth next Sunday, August 26 by getting your car washed between 11:30AM - 2:00PM. See the handout in todays bulletin.
**TODAY…AHEPA Chapter 408...will host a fundraising luncheon today in the Fellowship Hall of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, NC immediately following liturgy. The proceeds will benefit Lyrio Children Foundation, an Orthodox orphanage located in the village of NeosVoutzas that was burned in the recent fires. There will be a $10 donation minimum for the luncheon.
TODAY…COUNCIL OF MINISTRIES… All Ministries, turn in your event calendar for the Ecclesiastical Year 2018/2019. Fr. Jon will review/approve events so there are no conflicts. The calendars are requested to be turned in by TODAY, Sunday, August 19. Any events submitted after this date will be given secondary consideration.
THIS WEEK…PANAGIA PROUSIOTISSA…Feast Day of Panagia Prousiotissa Monastery (Troy, NC) will be taking place Tuesday, August 21 (6PM Festal Vigil) and Wednesday, August 22 (8:30AM Festal Liturgy followed by Lunch.) For more information, please contact the office or see your Online Bulletin.
PHILOPTOCHOS…Our Ladies Philoptochos is partnering with one of our local schools to help provide much needed school supplies. This will be the last week to help!! When shopping this week, please consider picking up an extra item on our list. Drop off items in the container located in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you!!
SAVE THE DATE FAMILY SPIRITUAL RETREAT… It’s that time of year again to announce St. Nicholas’ 4th Annual Regional Family Retreat on October 13 at Camp Kirkwood, Watha, NC. This promises to be a very memorable event with our guest speaker, Father Barnabas Powell. This will be a one-day event this year. More information will be announced soon! SAVE THE DATE OCF BEACH RETREAT... hosted by St. Nicholas GOC on Sept. 15-16 for NC District college students ages 18-25. The theme is “Taking up your Cross – Owning our Faith in Christ”. PROSFORO…Thank you to those Servants in our Lord who have brought Prosforo this past week to our Church. Our Community has need for more Prosforo. With many hands we can make light work of this blessed task. Thank you in advance to those who heed this call.
