Teaching Goals by Class: CGS - In Cathechesis of the Good Shepard atrium, we are using Montessori methods and Orthodox teachings to bring the children to God. They begin the year learning to pray, care for themselves and the environment. They are learning that Jesus is the Good Shepard, he loves them and He is the Light of the world. The students will learn geography of Israel where Jesus walked. They will explore stories of Jesus' life using 3D materials and delve into Jesus parables using 2D materials. They will learn of the nomenclature of our services (gestures Father Anthony makes, Holy Altar, Holy Communion, Baptism, etc).
