OCF Schedule: Fr. Anthony paints icons every Thursday on Campus at the Tate Center Plaza 11-3 p.m. Oct 1,6:30 pm, Chew and Chat at Alan and Rose’s house. Oct. 15, 6:30 pm, Chew and Chat offered by Barb and Stephanie Knisely. Dates for the rest of semester are November 5 and 19. Work Daze Retreat Nov. 22-24, at the Diakonia Center. Fr. Michael Tishel will be speaking on “The Spirituality of St. Porphyrios” where the focus is on the spirituality of love.

Spaghetti Dinner
Spaghetti Dinners and Live Entertainment:
Thursday, October 17th with Classic City Polka Band
Serving on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 6-7:30 pm with live entertainment regularly.
Dinner includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and drink. Adults $8.00/Children-$4.00

Inquirer's Class

Inquirer's Class is up and running. It's not only for those who becoming Orthodox but also for everyone to continue learning.
Time is from 6:45 till 8:00 pm following church service.

October 9 October 16 October 23 October 30th. Father will not be available on Oct 16th and 30th but men's group will still meet.
Festival News

Our 2nd Time having a Booth at the Oconee Fall Festival in Watkinsville on Saturday, October 19th. See Barbara or Stacey to help out. Needed are cooks,cashiers, set up, clean up, if you have a truck to help load and unload. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and all hands are needed.
Last year we had an amazing time and working together to serve our community was amazing. Please consider donating your time and service to help this big event. Expected 20,000 visitors.
Mother's Day Out

Mothers Day Out meets on Tuesdays
October 15th from 10:00am-1:00pm. You are welcome to bring a friend. Come out and enjoy the fellowship and discussion and bring something to share for lunch. Child care is provided.

Bigger Vision

Bigger Vision will be served once a month.
This is a wonderful opportunity to lend a hand, a little or a lot.
A group of 6 people is needed to serve and volunteers to plan and cook a meal of protein, starch, vegetable and fruit/dessert. We will need to donate food, prepare it, and serve the dinners.
Please contact Kate and Mike McClain if you would like to join the team. You do not have to commit to every month but together we can do this.
This month we need help with someone to make the main course, a side course such as potatoes and/or rice, and dessert. Please see Kate!

Store is open for business: Offering books, CD’s, prayer ropes, gift items, Orthodox Study Bibles and more. Stop by and shop every Sunday after church.

Thank you to our Coffee Hour Host and as we are a little short-handed, a friendly reminder to for the hosts to come in a little earlier to help set up and stay a little afterwards to help clean up.
Archangel Michael Awards

Congratulations to Paul Cramer and Stephen paninos, our Archangel Michael Honorees, to take place Saturday, Nov. 9th at the Cathedral. Please join us for the festivities at the banquet to show our gratitude for all their heartfelt service. Tickets are $65 each. Indicate on the reservation to sit at St. Philothea's table. Vespers will take place at 5:00pm Saturday before the banquet.
