Fr. Michael Tishel will be speaking on “The Spirituality of St. Porphyrios” where the focus is on the spirituality of love.
Fr. Anthony is on campus on Thursday’s from 11:00-3:00 pm at Tate Center Plaza painting icons and talking with students. Come on by.
Inquirer's Class

Archangel Michael Awards

Congratulations to Stephen Paninos and Paul Cramer, our Archangel Michael Honorees, taking place Saturday, November 9th at the Cathedral. Please join us for the festivities at the banquet to show our gratitude for all of their heartfelt service. Tickets are $65 each. Indicate on the reservation to sit at the St. Philothea table. Vespers will take place at 5:00pm Saturday before the banquet.
General Assembly

Fall General Assembly Sunday, November 10th following the Divine Liturgy.
The agenda includes the follow:
- Make nominations for Parish Council
- Vote on the 2020 budget
- Report on Marswood Hall.
Anyone sitting for Parish Council Elections must participate in a Parish Council Training Seminar ahead of elections on Tuesday Dec. 10 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Church. Kate McClain, Steve Demos and Tracey O’Malley will be coming off. (They can always be re-nominated) Anyone who is a member at St. Philothea for at least 3 months and current on their pledge is allowed to vote. Anyone who has been Orthodox for a year at St. Philothea and is in good standing with the Church can be nominated for Parish Council.

Please consider lending a hand, a little or a lot, for providing dinners to the homeless this holiday season.
A group of 6 people is needed to serve and volunteers to plan and cook a meal. Donations of protein, starch, vegetable and fruit/dessert are needed for the holiday meals!

As we head into the holiday season, the Food Bank is in desperate need of non-parishables to fill the shelves. Calling all faithful extreme couponers, penny pinchers, BOGO and freebie opportunities. If you are thinning out your stockpiles please consider sharing with the Food Bank.

Philoptochos Holiday Bake Sale:
Their major fundraisers will be at the OCAF Holiday Market Friday, Dec. 6th - Sun, Dec 8th.
Pastry Packaging for Philoptochos Fundraiser Dec. 2 Tues 3:00 -8:00 pm. Volunteers needed to make up variety boxes. Men, women and children are all welcome. Bring a snack to share; come for a little or a lot.
Bread Ministry
Kurt needs help picking up bread from Publix and delivering it to the Salvation Army every Sunday.

StewardshipSunday, Parish Council Elections, Nativity Pageant and Pancake Breakfast will take place December 15th — Prayerfully consider your family’s contribution of time, talent and treasurer for your 2020 Pledge Card to be turned in that day. It is a great help in planning our budget for 2020 if you turn your card in on time and indicate which ministries you would like to participate in.
