We're grateful for the Children's Liturgy Books which have been provided by the St. Eugenia Philoptochos. Located in each pew, they are a wonderful resource for children, and parents alike, as they pray along during the Divine Liturgy.

The Mission of Mercy has a simple mission: To restore dignity, “Healing through Love” by providing free healthcare. Fr. George & Philoptochos visited the free mobile health & dental clinics & free prescription medications this week. The Mission of Mercy serves an estimated 3,000 patient visits annually in Frederick & Brunswick. Also present were the Maryland Food Bank & the Frederick Health Department. The mobile clinics visit Frederick on alternate Mondays at the Church of Latter-Day Saints on North Street. Philoptochos provides brown bag lunches for patients every other month. Patients can take home a grocery bag of fresh fruits & vegetables provided by the Maryland Food Bank. The Frederick Health Department offers free HIV & breast cancer screenings.
The Mission of Mercy relies on volunteers, including doctors & nurses. Medical specialists such as oral surgeons, dentists & dermatologists are needed. If you can help or know someone who can offer their services, please contact Linda Ryan & Mission of Mercy: 301-682-LOVE(5683), ext. 202 LRyan@aMissionofMercy.org
