Resurrectional Apolytikion in the Fourth Mode
Having learned the joyful proclamation of the Resurrection from the Angel, and having cast off the ancestral condemnation, the women disciples of the Lord spake to the Apostles exultantly: Death is despoiled and Christ God is risen, granting great mercy to the world.

When Thou wast baptized in the Jordan, O Lord, the worship of the Trinity was made manifest; for the voice of the Father bare witness to Thee, calling Thee His beloved Son. The Reading is from St. Paul's Letter to the Ephesians 4:7-13
BRETHREN, grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore it is said, "When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men." (in saying, "He ascended," what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is he who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Hospital Ministry: Should you or a loved one need hospital or long term care, Fr. George would like to visit. Please be advised that Frederick Memorial Hospital (and most facilities) will not automatically notify Fr. George upon admission, but only when requested by the patient or caregiver.
Three Hierarchs Bookstore: Eleni Trivizas, Manager. The bookstore is located in the Social Hall and offers books, icons, censers, votives, and other spiritually edifying material. Anyone interested in volunteering to staff the bookstore on Sundays should reach out to Eleni or the Church office.

**UPDATE**
The Frederick County Board of Health convened on Thursday, December 30. Regulation 02-2021 was approved by the Board of Health which states that all persons aged 5 years and older are required to wear a face-covering in all indoor public spaces accessible to the public where the person is unable to consistently maintain at least six (6) feet of distance from individuals who are not members of their household. A 10-year memorial will be chanted today for Tim Lountos. May his memory be eternal!

House Blessings. As part of our Orthodox Christian Church life, we have our homes blessed following the Feast Day of the Theophany. If you wish to have your home blessed, please fill out the sign-up form (paper version in the Narthex). In order to prepare for Fr. George's visit to bless your home, please read the following:
- Have a list of the Baptismal first names of those family members that live in your home.
- At your family altar or dining room table, place a lighted candle, an incense burner (if available), a family icon, and a wide bowl half full with clean water.
- Turn off all TVs, stereos, and computers and turn on the lights to all the rooms.
- When Fr. George arrives, everyone in the house should gather around the family altar or dining room table. God Bless!
