JUNIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCLUDES TODAY Juniors meet one last time this academic year and that is today, Sunday May 21. Sunday School will resume for all students, God willing, in September. Sincere thanks to Maria Flanzala, Athanasia Panakis, Nina Schefe and Presbytera who worked together over the past year to teach and encourage our children.
THE FEAST OF HOLY ASCENSION is this Thursday. Great Vespers for the Feast will be prayed at 6PM on Wednesday evening. Orthros & Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday morning beginning at 9AM.

2017 BOSTON METROPOLIS MINISTRY AWARD We are pleased to announce Lambros Karris as our parish’s 2017 Ministry Award recipient. Awards will be presented in June in the Boston area. We want to thank Lambros for many years of consecutive service at St. George, enhancing our worship with beautiful chanting, leading our choir, teaching and highlighting Greek culture through his efforts with the yearly Greek dance and waterfront festival activities. For these things and more, we thank him. Well done, Lambros!
CONGRATULATIONS, 2017 GRADS!
Nik Dimoulas graduated from University of Maine on May 13 with a Bachelor's of Art in University Studies and Music. He is planning a trip to California for his launch Apology Tour 2018/2019. He is also currently considering graduate work at the Thornton School of Music at USC, Los Angeles.
Nina Schefe graduated from North Atlantic Regional High School in December 2016. She will attend Hellenic College, Boston, in the fall. Her major will be Human Development at Hellenic. Her eventual goal is to pursue Interior Design at Newbury College, Brookline.
Gregory Dimoulas graduates from Orono High June 11, 2017 and plans to study Psychology at University of Maine Orono.
Luke Flanzala is graduating with honors from Blue Hill Harbor School. He plans to attend Mt. Alison University in Sackville, Canada, majoring in Aviation.
Kobe Angel graduates from All Saints Catholic School on June 12. He will attend John Bapst Memorial High School in the fall.

THE KOSMOS PROJECT: A JOURNEY TO GREECE His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios is pleased to announce The Kosmos Project: A Journey to Greece, a camping exchange program between the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston and the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Greece. Juniors and seniors in high school will be given the opportunity to experience a two-week long trip to Greece. The first week will allow the campers to experience the summer camping ministry offered by the Metropolis of Neapolis. The second week will be a faith and cultural odyssey throughout the beautiful city of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece.
The Kosmos Project has as its goal to connect the participants with their faith and cultural heritage, roots, language, history and rich traditions. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will give participants a chance to experience summer camp in Greece and to explore their faith and cultural identity, learning about the past within the prism of modern day Greece.
Campers will be accompanied by the Rev. Fr. Chris and Presbytera Claire Foustoukos along with veteran staff members of the Metropolis of Boston Camp.
Dates: July 21-August 7. The Metropolis of Boston will substantially underwrite the cost of this trip, including airfare, activities, lodging, accommodations, meals and all transportation within Greece. Participant contribution towards tuition is only $750.

St. George has sent its youth to the camp for many years running—it’s a great program—if your kids have never gone before, this may be the year to start. Programs are available for campers who will be in grades 4 -12 in the fall of 2017.
