SUNDAY MATINS/DIVINE LITURGY, 8:15 am
A few things to be aware of when you are attending services during the "Level Three" phase:
Our church will continue to provide online live streaming of church services through Facebook Live on our Facebook page. We are currently facing some technical difficulties and cannot stream on YouTube Live. Fr. Panteleimon and the Parish Council are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Plus, now you can "Light a Candle - Say a Prayer". Just visit https://onrealm.org/StsCnH/-/give/candles to make your donation online and send us an email (father.pgd@gmail.com and church@stsconstantinehelenwi.org) with the number and type of candles along with who/what you would like us to pray for and will do so at our next church service.
In order to better track attendance and seating availability on a weekly basis, we are making changes to the signing up process for church attendance.
Everyone will have to sign up for each specific Sunday that they would like to attend church services. Registration events have been setup in Realm for the following few Sundays; you may have received the relevant automatic notifications already. If you have family members that do not have internet access, you can add them to your registration as guests. Otherwise, please let them know that they can call me (414.778.1555) during office hours and I will register them.
Moving forward, since life happens, if you have signed up for a service but cannot attend, please cancel your reservation so that someone else can attend. If you need help, please contact me.
If you have not joined Realm, our online community, yet, please send me an email requesting an invitation. In Realm, go to Events, choose the "Sunday Matins/Divine Lit..." for the Sunday you would like to register, and click on the "Register by date" to register.
As always, please contact me if I can be of assistance,
Nikki

Realm (onrealm.org) & it's app, Connect, is not for one-way communication, from our church leaders to you. It can (& should) be used for the communiation between the members of each Group. JOY is the first ministry that has adopted Realm as their communication tool. Ask them.
By the way, would anyone like to lead a Group? What if we created a Group where the members could help each other out during this pandemic? If someone is immunocompromised, for instance, or has young children, and can't go to the grocery store, they could ask if anyone else is going and if they are willing to pick up whatever they need (or, pick up their prescription, or a 10,000 piece puzzle for the kids...) and deliver to their house... Email the church (church@stsconstantinehelenwi.org) your ideas but keep in mind, that no Groups can be created/activated until someone steps up to lead them. (Hint: It's not hard... just accepting requests to join the Group and keeping the conversation going).
Want to test it out? You can join our Prayer Requests Group (In Groups, search in Community for Prayer Requests).

We are studying The Psalms. Each week, we try to prayerfully and reverently read each word to find another drop of eternal truth and all the words together make up the boundless ocean of Eternal Truth God has so graciously given us. OCN's weekly bulletin for children
Christians don’t have the best reputation... We’re not known for our generosity or piety. We’re not known for being peaceful or merciful. In most circles, we’re known for one thing: Being judgmental. As one of my friends once told me: “People don’t like Christians because you spend all your time focused on what others are doing wrong.” But this isn’t the way of Jesus! In Sunday’s Gospel reading, the Lord reminds us of His mission. “For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:17) And, just like Jesus, our job isn’t to condemn. So how did Christians get a reputation for being judgmental? Well, the good news is that this is nothing new. St. Paul even touches on this in Sunday’s Epistle reading... He describes those who don’t keep the law themselves, yet impose it on others. People who spend more time focusing on what others do wrong, rather than what they can do right... But again, this isn’t the way of Jesus. So how do we get back on track? I’m glad you asked! Because the newest episode of “Be the Bee” explores why we tend to be so judgmental. And the video offers you strategies on how you can focus on your own sins rather than on the shortcomings of others. Plus, we made another workbook to help you apply what you learned in the video. Let’s change our reputation. Let’s become people who are known for our courage and kindness, not our judgment. Who knows? Maybe we’ll give people a good reason to be Christians themselves. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Peace, Steve

Prayer is hard! Setting aside a few minutes for the Lord every morning or evening is way more difficult than you might expect. Can I be honest? I’ve skipped my daily prayer rule more times than I’d like to admit… In Sunday’s Gospel reading, the Lord reminds us to “take up our cross and follow Him.” Jesus doesn’t say this to make things harder. He doesn’t want to put more pressure on us. Taking up our cross is actually the way of freedom. The freedom that is only found in God’s Kingdom. "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God come with power." (Mark 9:1) And this vision of the Kingdom begins in our moments of encounter with the Lord. St. Paul even touches on the result of this encounter in Sunday’s Epistle reading... He explains that, when we’re united with the Lord, “it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” But how do we get there? What should you do if encounters with God feel few and far between? What should you do if you’re struggling to pray? Should you just work on praying more? Well, this week’s episode of “Be the Bee” asks a different question. Don’t ask how you can pray more. Ask how you can pray in the moment.
Fifth Orthros Gospel
The Reading is from Luke 24:13-35
At that time, two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. And he said to them, "What is this conversation which you are holding with each other as you walk?" And they stood still looking sad. Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?" And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since this happened. Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning and did not find his body; and they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. Some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said; but him they did not see." And he said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He appeared to be going further, but they constrained him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them. When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight. They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the scriptures?" And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together and those who were with them, who said, "The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.

Prokeimenon. Grave Mode. Psalm 28.11,1.
The Lord will give strength to his people.
Verse: Bring to the Lord, O sons of God, bring to the Lord honor and glory.
The reading is from St. Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians 6:1-10.
Brethren, working together with him, we entreat you not to accept the grace of God in vain. For he says, "At the acceptable time I have listened to you, and helped you on the day of salvation." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. We put no obstacle in any one's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, tumults, labors, watching, hunger; by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love, truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; in honor and dishonor, in ill repute and good repute. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

1st Sunday of Luke
The Reading is from Luke 5:1-11
At that time, as Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, he saw two boats by the lake; but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." And Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish; and as their nets were breaking, they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." For he was astonished, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; henceforth you will be catching men." And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.
1st Sunday of Luke
