2019-2020 Youth Ministries Registration Now Open
We are blessed here at Annunciation/Evangelismos Church with many Christ-centered Youth Ministries, headed by faithful and caring parishioners who have completed background clearances based on Pennsylvania state laws.
We invite you to visit our website and learn more about each Annunciation Youth Ministry: PTO, Catechism School, Little Apostles, JOY/HOPE, GOYA, Greek School, Greek Folk Dance.
You will see that the following goals are at the core of every Youth Ministry:
- Reach out to young people to help them grow in God’s love.
- Assist our youth in understanding and deepening their faith.
- Provide a place of Christian acceptance and Christian role models.
- Help our youth to build a community with their peers in our church.
- Provide opportunities for young people to share in the ministry of the church and develop a willingness to serve the needs of others.
Why Youth Registration?
We request every young person participating in youth ministry (regardless of how much or how little) to be registered through the parish office. The information allows us to have home/emergency information on hand as well as birth dates and interests of each youth involved.
We kindly ask you to register now to give us time to organize our volunteers and be ready to welcome our youth in September.
The online 2019-2020 Youth Ministries Registration Form takes just a few moments to complete from any computer or mobile device. Youth Ministry events will be included as soon as they are scheduled on our web calendar.
Annunciation Youth Ministries are led by parent volunteers and we encourage you to get involved in Youth Ministry with your child. Please review the various Youth Ministries on our website and don’t hesitate to reach out to Fr. John if you are able to assist.

Join the Choir!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Orthodox Divine Liturgy is a feast for the senses! Incense lights up our sense of smell, icons blanket our walls with color and history while music and chants speak to our ears.
As summertime comes to a close, the choir is starting to plan for the upcoming ecclesiastical year.
Maybe your situation has changed and your time is more available, or maybe you want to participate more fully in the liturgy but think you haven’t sung in such a long while. Maybe you just want to reconnect and sing the Orthodox hymns that you grew up with or maybe you want to join the fellowship and sense of pride that comes with learning a new hymn together.
Our first practice is on Thursday, August 29 at 7 pm.
You do not need to read music or Greek … we will help you! In fact, you will be assigned a “choir buddy” who will size you for a robe and make sure you have all the music you’ll need and who will keep in touch with you during your first year. As far as time commitment, practices are on Thursdays at 7 pm and last 1.5 hours. Our choir members find that they are back home with enough time for their evening cup of tea and to relax.
Contact Stacy Lagakos, our choir director, by email (swl@mayerpollock.com) or cell (856-816-0116) or contact any choir member you know to find out more about how our ministry works.

Mathew 25 Ministry News
Thank you ! to all who contributed to M25 this summer. Seeds of Hope was thrilled with our unexpected delivery this past Monday. Donations are lean in the summer months and needs are greater with the kid’s home for the summer. It was so refreshing to see all the unsolicited food items that made it into our bins.
We look forward to the new ecclesiastical year at Annunciation and increasing our donations to the pantry. We’ll be posting future delivery dates in the coming weeks. Enjoy your summer and next time you're in the market consider donating some healthy non-perishable food. We noticed they were unusually low on pasta sauce this week. Ευχαριστούμε!
