Reservation for Services: our Church is now open for public worship! Please be aware that our space will be extremely limited - at 25 per service - so it is necessary to make a reservation with our Priest to be sure there will be space for you and your family to participate. Contact Father at the Parish Office, or by email for a reservation. Unfortunately, once we reach our legal capacity, the Parish Council will not allow anyone further in the Church. At the conclusion of all services, the faithful will need to exit parish facilities and property, and return to their homes - for the forseeable future, Coffee Hours and educational programs will not be offered.
Sunday & Holy Day Schedule: with the continuing scourge of the COVID-19, and the necessity to limit exposure of our priest and parishioners to aerosol and/or surface spread, we will only offer the Divine Liturgy for public attendance on Sundays and Holy Days until further notice. Fr Andreas will continue to serve Vespers and Orthros on our behalf, but we ask that the faithful only arrive shortly before the listed start time of the Divine Liturgy.
Dekapentavgoustos - Dormition of the Theotokos: this year, we will offer the Paraklesis - Supplications to the Theotokos - Service at different times to allow more participation of the faithful and to take advantage of cooler morning temperatures! On most weekdays, the Small Paraklesis will be served at 9:00 AM. Also, the Parish Council is planning to celebrate our Panagiri, our Parish Feast Day, with an outdoor Divine Liturgy and meal on Sunday, August 16.
Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ: Thursday is the Feast of the Metamorphosis - Transfiguration of Chrost on Mt. Tabor - one of the 12 Great Feasts of the Church of Christ. Divine Liturgy will be served at 9:00 AM. The traditional Blessing of Grapes will be offered, but not with a distribution: we ask that parishioners please bring their first fruits in a bowl for Fr Andreas to bless, and then take the blessed grapes home.
Church Cleaning: the parish no longer has the service of a paid custodian, which is an especially critical need with the increased cleaning and sanitation protocols required to re-open the church. One of the greatest blessings we can receive is to serve God by cleaning and preparing His Holy Temple, as anyone from our Orthodox lands will tell you! Please offer your services to our Parish Council to assist them in this critical work, by emailing parish-council@gocvt.org. There will be a general cleaning and preparation of our facilities each Saturday at about 9:30 AM, please join your PC that morning. Many hands make light work!
