Stewardship 2023 Kickoff this Sunday, December 18
We are kicking off the 2023 Stewardship Campaign, Giving Thanks Eucharistic Stewardship, this Sunday on December 18.
You should have received the church’s holiday mailing, which included the 2023 Stewardship Materials this week.
If you have not, please contact Angela Georgallis at 919-339-3169 /acgeorgallis@gmail.com.
Father Paul will be asking the Parish Council to come forward after the liturgy with their signed pledge forms to set the example for stewardship and will ask them to place their forms in the Lord's manger.
If you have your pledge form ready, please feel free to join the Parish Council up front for a picture and a blessing.
Christmas Eve Service 5:00pm
The Christmas Eve Liturgy (Saturday, December 24) will be at 5pm. There will be no Orthros. The Christmas mailing was sent out last Friday, December 9. When you receive it, you will see that the schedule says there will be Orthros at 5pm and Liturgy at 6pm. Please disregard this.
Again, there will only be liturgy on Christmas Eve at 5pm, no Orthros.
Those wishing to receive Holy Communion this night should fast from food and drink after 2pm if you are medically able.

Philoptochos
Merry Christmas to our Philoptochos sisters, supporters and our parish family!
May you and your loved ones experience the true meaning of the season and carry it in your hearts always.
Your Philoptochos sisters never stop.
The month of December we provided:
-Delicious pans of food were packaged during our Holiday Cafe and delivered to the ladies at the Women’s Center for special meals. Thank you, Anna Kouba, for delivering.
-Christmas for twenty four children through the Salvation Army.
A big thanks to Rhonda Milkovich and our sisterhood of shoppers.
-100.00 gift cards each to seventeen students and their families to ensure Christmas Day meals, through our Operation Classroom. In addition, we delivered our monthly snacks and supplies.
Thank you, Rhonda Milkovich for chairing.
The first week of December we had our Holiday Cafe and Bake Sale, including our pre-order pick up. These proceeds allow us to feed the hungry, take care of the poor, sick, and destitute. Mary Wehbie has so beautifully led our Bake Sale for eight years. This has been a labor of love as she spends months behind the scenes organizing before the baking begins.
Thank you to Mary is just not enough.
This Sunday we are selling spanakopita and baklava following Liturgy, while it lasts, and its Vasilopita pick up.
Thank you, Julie Theocles, for baking our Vasilopita again this year.
As you enjoy your holidays just know, we have much to do together in the new year!
Merry Christmas,
Lekita and your Ladies Philoptochos Society Chapter Board
Can You Assist our Holy Patriarchate?
Friends and Stewards of Holy Trinity in Raleigh,
Last year our Holy Archdiocese asked each of the nine Metropolises to make a financial commitment to the Patriarch Bartholomew Endowment Fund in the amount of $100,000 to be paid over ten years.
Nick Moraitakis and I decided not to ask the Parish Councils for contributions but rather to go directly to individuals within our Parishes who have the means to contribute. Last year we engaged three of our Parishes...Macon, Birmingham and Mobile. In November and December of 2021, we received almost $12,000 from 13 individual donors. So, we exceeded our yearly goal of $10,000.
This year we're asking Savannah, Charleston, and Raleigh to participate. If you have the means to possibly donate, please reach out to Father Paul.
Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Yours In Christ,
Spyros Dermatos

Council Treasurer
