Holy Communion Announcement:
The Communion line is to be formed in the center aisle, and once you receive depart to the right or to the left. Please enter the center aisle once the Parish Council members indicate that it is time for people in your pew to proceed. Parents of infants and toddlers, and anyone with special needs may come to the front of the line first. Please refrain from talking and be respectful and prayerful during this sacred moment of the service. Thank you. Please further note that Holy Communion will not be administered after the Divine Liturgy.
Sunday Memorials, Artoclasias and Other Blessings:
Please inform the church office well in advance of Sunday mornings for all memorials, artoclasias, 40 day blessings and other blessings so as not to disrupt the Divine Liturgy.
Youth Mission Trip:
There will be a meeting Sunday, October 15th at 12pm in the lower church hall for high school students interested in participating in our first youth mission trip. The tentative date of the trip is July 1 - July 6, 2018. The destination will be somewhere in the Northeast and the group will be driven to the location. Interested students must attend the meeting with a parent. For more information, please email Tinaanastos@optimum.net.
Kali Parea and Filia Trips:
We are planning a Wine Tasting Trip to Brotherhood Winery, Saturday, October 28th. The bus will depart at 9am and return by 4pm. The cost of the bus is $35 and the Wine tasting fee is $9. Please respond to Tinaanastos@optimum.netASAP if you are interested. On Sunday, November 12th a trip is planned to see the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes. Golf Classic Fundraiser:
Come out and support the first Leonidas Vagias Memorial Golf Classic on October 23rd! Whether you would like to play a round of golf, be a sponsor, or join us for our post golf dinner, there are many ways to contribute to this great event! Please complete the enclosed form and return to the address found on the bottom. All proceeds support The Leonidas Foundation and St. George. The organizing committee is looking for donations for our Golf Fundraiser. In particular we are looking for tickets for sporting events and/or a timeshare vacation. If any of our parishioners have access to “season tickets” or own a timeshare, please consider donating tickets for a game or a stay at a timeshare. Beefsteak Dinner, Saturday, November 4th:
The St. George Parish Council will be hosting this event. The cost is $45 per person in advance and includes beer and soda. BYO wine and liquor. At the door tickets will be $50 and children 12 and under are $30. We will be raffling Gift Basket prizes. Please consider making a donation to the church to purchase gifts for this event.
Choir News:
October is National Church Musicians Month. If you love to sing and want to enhance our Sunday services with your voice, please see Angelo Duvlaris (aduvo@optonline.net) or Yiannis Magiros (yannis52@optonline.net). We are in need of more volunteers. Prior knowledge of Greek is not necessary.
Greek School:

Greek Cultural, Musical & Dance Experience:
St. George GOYA is pleased to present a unique experiencefeaturing Hellenic Roots Foundation. Join us on Sunday, November 26th from 2:00pm–5:00pm in the gym for an afternoon of dance workshops from various regions of Greece taught by Petro Fourniotis Laskar, Executive Director of the Hellenic Roots Foundation. Workshop is FREE and open to all current and past GOYAns and their parents (please no children under age 12). Snacks and refreshments will be served.
