Our Philoptochos will match up to $500 to send to this organization. Please help us to reach our goal. We encourage the St. George community to wear pink to show your support.

We would like to start a class on Saturday mornings if there is enrollment interest.
St. Paraskevi Philoptochos Sandwich Sunday:
TODAY, after liturgy, the Philoptochos is making sandwiches in the upstairs kitchen. Sandwich Sundays, was begun with the goal of preparing sandwiches for the homeless. We try to make a minimum of 225 sandwiches each time. Anyone interested in making a donation to defray the cost, please complete a donation form and return it to the office. It is a wonderful way to remember a loved one, or a special occasion. This month's sandwiches are made possible by generous donations from The Daughters of Penelope in memory of Irene Houlis; Yianni and Phyllis Magiros, in memory of Kyriakos Magiros; Marian Mairagas in memory of grandmother and mother, Haralambia Zoulia; Maria and Emanuel Karras in memory of his brother, Dr. John Karras; Helen Haritos in memory of her husband, Peter Haritos. Sandwiches are currently delivered to either the Hoboken Shelter or St. Paul's Men's Shelter. Feeding the hungry is an important tenet of our mission to help the needy.

St. George Beautification “Capital Improvement Program”:
Last year we embarked on a series of capital improvements to increase the beauty and majesty of our great church. As part of the project, we are reminding everyone of the capital campaign goal of raising $200,000 in three years. We secured a loan to complete the projects and the capital campaign contributions will be used to repay the loan. A key component of this campaign is the participation of each of our members, remembering that we are all part of God’s Church. As is said in our Liturgy, “Sanctify those who love the beauty of Your house.” The various levels of giving opportunities are outlined in the attached brochure. Donors will be recognized on a plaque according to their contribution level.
