IN SUPPORT OF POLIXENI (BANES) KOUVARAS: Sunday a tray will be passed for a collection to support the Kouvaras family as Polixeni continues her struggle with cancer. We will also be having a Paraklesis service to pray for her health this Monday, September 16th. In addition, we ask you to join us for a Gyro Fundraiser on September 29th, following Church, all proceeds going to the Kouvaras family to help with Polixeni’s medical costs.
40th ANNIVERSARY AT 2930 BEAVER ROAD: We are looking for someone who would like to organize a celebration of this beautiful occasion. It has been suggested to possibly do a walk from our Old Location to our Current, followed by a meal. The Anniversary of the Thyranoixia (Door Opening) is Saturday, October 19th as we remember 40 years of being Christ’s Church right here and making this our home!
PHILOPTOCHOS INSTALLATION: After the Divine Liturgy we will call up all of our Philoptochos chapter board members and officers to be installed for the 2019-2020 Ecclesiastical Year.
GREEK SCHOOL: DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS EXTENDED TO SUNDAY! SIGN UP TODAY! Greek School will restart on September 18th. We have two classes: 4-6 year olds & 7-11 year olds. Registration costs $35 for the year and classes will take place on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm.
ADULT GREEK SCHOOL: Pauline Skeriotis will be teaching an adult class on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm starting on 10/2! Register by 9/29!
YOUTH SAFETY UPDATE: Thank you to the 50+ youth workers who have registered. More information will be coming on the training portion, as well as your background checks. There is still time to register if you haven’t yet. See Jackie Bennis.
PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS: Then the first meeting will take place next Sunday on September 22nd, during Coffee Hour. Join our ladies in becoming “Friends of the Poor.”

HELLENIC DANCERS: Meeting today in the Church hall about Fall Practice dates, the Festival of Churches, and information regarding the Folk Dance Festival in November.

Have you ever wanted to “jump in” at a Greek Dance or a Wedding, but you didn’t know the steps? Well…..here’s your chance to learn some of the favorites!
The Hellenic Dancers will be teaching the Greek favorites on Wednesday, Sept. 18th and Wednesday, Sept. 25th
from 7:30 – 8:15 in the Pappan Fellowship Hall.

Come and learn the Bulgarian, Kalamatiano, Ikarian, and Pentozali just to name a few.

GOYA: 1st meeting today following Liturgy in the 9th-12th grade Sunday School Room (Couch Room). We are planning to meet the 3rd Sunday of every month. GOYA is fundraising by selling mums and today is the last day to order them. Pickup is next Sunday. GOYA is also meeting this evening at Plaza Azteca in Robinson for a Dinner Out.
