THANK YOU FOR BAKING!
Many thanks to everyone who helped bake for the Festival. The last of the pastries were baked on Tuesday. There were a record number of ladies who came to help and many stayed to package the kourambiethes and clean up the hall. Thanks to all the ladies who made this possible!
GREEK FESTIVAL REGISTRATION
OPA! We are now ACTIVELY RECRUITING volunteers for the festival! We need over 700 shifts to be filled. This means that we need everyone to take at least TWO shifts. This year, we have changed the shift schedules to be more in line with feedback we’ve received in the past. Shift times are now 3 hours and each booth has the same shifts. We hope this will make scheduling for you and your family easier. It will enable you to have some downtime if you need it before or after your shift. HOWEVER! We need your help to take at least TWO shifts. Those of you signing up for THREE or more shifts will get a free sandwich voucher as a thank you (to be picked up during your 3rd shift.) As we get closer to the festival, we all start getting antsy that we will not have enough volunteers. PLEASE help us avoid panic and get signed up. You can signup in a few ways:
1. Log in to https://timecounts.org/greek-festival-raleigh
a. Set up your account
b. Log in and click the OPPORTUNITIES tab then click VOLUNTEER and pick your shifts
2. Find us in the church hall on Sunday and fill out a form. We will sign you up!!
3. Email us at dori.riley@gmail.com or Stacey.armistead@duke.edu and we can get you set up
4. Call! Dori Riley – 919-244-4577
THANK YOU for all of your support for our parish family! We CANNOT do this without your help!

THE ARRIVAL OF THE MIRACULOUS ICON OF THE PANAGIA VIMATARISSA
Sept 29th at 11:00 am
Diakonia Retreat Center
455 Quail Ridge Road, Salem, SC 29676
Beginning at 11:00 AM, this rare and joyous occasion will take the form of a procession with the icon of the Theotokos into our new Panagia Chapel, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, along with the Monks of Vatopaidi, the clergy of the Metropolis of Atlanta, and a parade group created especially for the event! Together, we will all have the opportunity to venerate the miraculous icon of Our Lady, offer glory to our God and Creator, thanking those who made this day possible, and enjoying the fellowship of our Metropolis of Atlanta family.
HT PHOTO TEAM
The HTGOC Photo Team is looking for two or three new team members who enjoy taking photos of people and events. You do not need to have the most expensive camera or extensive experience. Just an interest in photography as a hobby. Sorry, having only a camera phone is not suitable for this particular ministry. Please email Chris Pappas at chris@polyconcpm.com or contact him at 919-369-9118 to discuss this further.
HT BROADCAST TEAM
The HTGOC broadcast team is seeking to add two members to work with the audio portion of the Liturgy broadcast on Sundays. It would be a once a month Sunday commitment to manage the balcony sound board, balcony microphones and sermon recording. Training will be provide, as needed. Please email Chris Pappas at chris@polyconcpm.com or contact him at 919-369-9118 to discuss being a part of this ministry further.
