Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
Fourth Sunday of Matthew
July 5, 2020
COVID19 Update
Out of love for the sick, the suffering, and those who are attending to them, the Church is reopening on a limited basis. See instructions below if you are attending the Liturgy.
Please view the Liturgy online here.
During this first phase of re-opening, a limited number of households will be permitted at each worship service. This registration system will limit the number of attendees at any given service to 25 parishioners. Please be mindful of your fellow parishioners by not registering immediately for all services. Be patient and considerate of others who would like to attend (i.e. You have successfully registered for a service, we ask that you NOT register for two or three consecutive services, but rather allow other parishioners an opportunity to register). If slots are still open 30 minutes before registration closes at 9:00 pm the evening before the service, then you may register.
Please arrive early to service so you can be checked in. Ideally, arriving before 9:45. Check in will include answering the below COVID-19 questions and having your temperature taken.
Please review the following COVID-19 questions and if you answer “yes” to any of them, then we ask that you not sign up for a church service at this time.
- Do you have any of the following symptoms that are new or worsening: cough, congestion, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, fever or feeling feverish, chills, muscle pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea?
- Have you had close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 21 days?
- Have you tested positive in the last 21 days for COVID-19?

AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION AND LOVE
Father Paul has recently been exposed to a possible case of COVID-19. Although Father Paul has no Covid-like symptoms, he was tested for COVID-19 and is in quarantine. These measures have been taken out of an abundance of caution and love of our faithful community and in accordance with our guidelines.
There will be no office hours for the time being and the Divine Liturgy for this Sunday, July 5, will be celebrated by our Vicar, Fr. Vasileos Tsourlis, from the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Charlotte.
Once we have additional information to share, we will do so. Please do not call Father Paul with questions. If you have questions, please call Jim Klemes, Parish council President at 919-812-1307.
As always, please keep Father Paul and our beloved parish family in your prayers.
JULY 5TH STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE
As we continue to celebrate church services in a limited capacity, we want to thank each and every one of you for your tremendous generosity over the last few months, especially given the incredible challenges most families face on a daily basis during this time of great uncertainty. We are so grateful for your loyalty and selflessness during this unprecedented journey we’ve been on together.
As Holy Trinity has re-opened its doors and attendance numbers remain small in size, we ask that you to continue using our online giving site (https://abundant.co/holytrinityraleigh/give), or you can also mail your stewardship donation and/or pledges to 5000 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. We understand this online method of giving is new for many members, so we have created a short video showing you step-by-step how to use the online giving portal. The video instructions are located right under the GIVE Online. button on the main page of Holy Trinity’s website. Click on the Online Giving Instructions button, to be directed to a link and password (GeVCfkN5 – case sensitive), to watch the video.
Please also remember that you can conveniently continue to embrace and incorporate our Orthodox holy traditions, by lighting a candle via the church’s main website(http://abountantco./holytrinityraleigh/give) during this slow transition to our “new normal.”
If you have any questions about donating or stewardship, please contact Angela Georgallis, Stewardship Co-Chair, directly at 919-339-3169 or acgeorgallis@gmail.com.
Again, we thank you for your generous and constant support!
