FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS DURING GREAT LENT
Salutation services are offered during the five Fridays of Great Lent to honor the Theotokos. Please consider making a donation for flowers to adorn the Icon of Theotokos. You can do so by contacting the office. The cost is $85 for each week.
ORTHODOXY ON TAP – LOWELL
Save the date for the next Orthodoxy on Tap, Lowell, Thursday, March 3rd. This is a great opportunity for fellowship, to enjoy a meal, and share in a brief presentation and discussion. We welcome young adults 18-35, to join us at The Establishment in N. Chelmsford from 7pm – 9pm. Please spread the word and bring a friend.
SOUPER BOWL OF GIVING
A grateful thanks to all who offered donations of nonperishable food which were delivered to the Dwelling House of Hope Food Pantry on Mt. Hope St. in Lowell. Additionally, your very generous monetary donation of $500. was sent to IOCC to support their humanitarian work. A special thanks to our Sunday School students who assisted in collecting wearing their Super Bowl Sunday football jerseys.
HELLENIC AMERICAN ACADEMY
Again, a very grateful thank you to all who donated to support the students of Hellenic American who will be traveling to Greece this summer on their “Cultural Journey”. A total of $1000.00 will be sent which includes collection and matching gift. Special thanks to our HAA students Demetri Blake, Milton Sylvester, Aleksa Sylvester, Christina Gavriil and Jayden Crawford who assisted in the collection.
LIVING WATERS
Thank you for all the donations of warm hats that were donated to the Living Waters Center of Hope, a nondenominal faith-based outreach center on Kirk St., downtown Lowell.
LENTEN CAMP OUTREACH
On March 12th, as part of Lenten Camp, campers will be assembling 75 Emergency Health Kits to benefit the International Orthodox Children’s Charity (IOCC). The follow items will be placed in a Ziplock bag and mailed to a distribution center in Maryland:
- One cotton hand towel and washcloth
- One wide-tooth comb and a fingernail clipper
- One bath-size bar of soap and one toothbrush
- Ten standard size Band-Aids
We have purchased all of the items and seeking kit ‘sponsors’ for $10/kit or 3 kits for $25. To contribute, an IOCC labeled basket will be available for your donation where monetary donations, in any amount, can be dropped off to help us offset the purchasing/mailing costs. Thank you so much for your continued generosity as an example to our campers!
SATURDAY OF SOULS LITURGIES USHER IN GREAT LENT
As we approach the start of Great and Holy Lent on March 7, you are encouraged and welcomed to submit names of loved ones who have passed away to be commemorated on the three Saturdays of Souls: Feb. 26, March 5, and March 12. For your convenience, a form can be found in the ‘Insert’ section of the bulletin below. You can mail or email your list of names to the parish office or bring them to church when you attend services.

Philoptochos is continuing the research to purchase banquet chairs for the church hall. We are asking for your assistance.
