LEARN ABOUT ORTHODOXY IN THE CHURCH LIBRARY
Now that we are in Great Lent, it is a great time to check out an inspiring book from our Church Library which has a great resource of books: biographies of saints and books that are inspirational, devotional and informative. Come and browse or use the card catalog to find a book on a subject that interests you. Instructions for checking out a book are posted in the library. Have a blessed Lent.
ANGELS, HOPE, AND JOY ALSMGIVING
Almsgiving is a fancy word for loving our neighbor. It is providing for others who are poor and in need of our help. Let’s come together in this Lenten journey and help create an Almsgiving basket for a St. John the Merciful family. A table will be setup during coffee hour to collect items.
Please create an almsgiving basket that includes the following: Laundry baskets, Laundry soap, spray bottles of Windex/409, 2 Rolls of paper towels, package of napkins, bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, combs, shampoo, packages of disposable razors, 4 rolls of toilet paper, dish soap, 2 packs of sponges, washcloths (optional), dishtowels (optional), skin lotion (optional).
